The competition is for the best essay in English on a given topic and is aimed at our students of the D Senior, Pre-Certificate and Certificate Classes. The participants use their knowledge gained in the English language classes to express their thoughts in an innovative and profound way on current topical issues.

 In 2007 Pharos Schools received a congratulatory letter from the Minister of European Integration concerning the Pharos Essay Competition as well as the essay of the winner Andrei Hinkov on the topic of “My Personal Expectations after Bulgaria’s Accession in the European Union”.
